It is an age-old conflict, born of blood and hate long before man first walked the earth, as brutal off the battlefield as on it. The methods change but the meaning does not: power, control, and dominance are the coins of the realms. All else is dust and ash. What were once peaceful, neutral territories are now dangerous combat zones, torn lands with uncertain futures. The lines of good and evil are no longer such cleanly drawn, static elements, and even in the 'holy' and 'unholy' lands black and white are not clearly dileneated; through this strange new world the creatures of the realms must now carve their paths. Whether for glory, wealth, or some other less tangible goal, they will pick up the shattered remnants of what was lost, and rebuild it in their own image. They are the Animae Sola. Plot is heavily influenced by political and religious themes, and centres around four realms and a variety of races and abilities. A recent war has left the Demonic Army and their supporters victorious, but insurgents still remain; unexpected shifts in power redefine Demonic and Angelic society; and through it all Earth remains, flooded as much with spies and turncoats as deserters and refugees.
